An essay competition on ‘Islamic Finance in India: Prospects and Challenges’

Organisers of the international seminar on Islamic finance have invited entries for an essay competition on ‘Islamic Finance in India: Prospects and Challenges’ and research papers to be presented at the event.

The first prize for the best essay carries a Rs25,000 award, the second prize Rs15,000 and third prize Rs10,000. The competition is open to Indian citizens only, the organisers said in a statement in Kochi yesterday.

The essays should be typed and no entry should exceed 10 A-4 size pages including graphs and diagrams. The line spacing should be 1.5 and the font not smaller than 12 points.

The contestants should provide their full postal addresses, occupation details and contact numbers along with the entries.

A hard copy of the essay or a soft copy in PDF version should reach Essay@ISIFK, Al Jamia Al Islamiya Santhapuram, P O Pattikkad, Pin 679 325, Malappuram district, Kerala, India, before September 10. Entries can also be emailed to essay@isifk.com.
